Glad you liked. Once I got a hold of Pygmy’s language I enjoyed it much. My favorite Palahniuk’s book is “Choke.” There’s something so appealing in its nihilism.

“Choke” was my first Palahniuk read! I couldn’t put it down. The movie wasn’t bad either, but I’m a sucker for Sam Rockwell.

You’re so lucky to have the option of working from home! I’d love to be able to. Hope you’re still enjoying your classes :)

I feel very lucky to have this option now. It is incredibly nice.

Classes are good, but definitely harder than I was expecting right off the bat. I was hoping it was a going to be a smoother transition, but oh well.

My whole BS program used eBooks. I printed some chapters, some I didn’t. Saved tons of $! I got used to. Keyword search is the best!

That’s a good suggestion, I bet the keyword search does come in handy. I do appreciate that the professors are making these custom ebooks to save us money. Granted I was taking a lot more courses during each undergrad semester, but I was anticipating at least $300 for this semester and I’m going to come in under $200.

Did you meet your Goodreads challenge? I was short of 2 books, which was not bad considering my school workload. I’ll check this book out :)

I did indeed and congrats on getting so close.

I’m trying for 50 again this year. I think if I wasn’t starting school I would have tried to increase it a bit, but I’m getting anxious trying to imagine what my course load is going to be like.

Glad to know by your example that it’s possible to work and go to grad school and fit in a reading challenge!!

There’s just 3/20 people here today. I’m here half day as well, but I’m already going nuts. Happy Holidays to you!

Happy holidays to you as well and enjoy your half day!!

I wonder what will be the “next doomsday thing.” The Mayan’s calendar has ruled that topic for so many years! Is there another event in line?

Good question. I have no clue. I’m sure there’s something lurking out there.

Kitties are the biggest distractions! :)

Yeah, I don’t know why I thought that they wouldn’t be. Kima keeps attacking my fingers and dive bombing my mouse.

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I agree with you not being a masterpiece in writing, but it definitely keeps you engaged and wanting to know more.

Yes, and I meant to say thank you for all the Joe Hill shout outs from you guys!

I am doing a 3 year program too (although mine is full time). I graduate May 2013. Let’s hope the Mayans were wrong. I’d hate putting all this effort for nothing, hahaha. Year 2000 sounded futuristic to me as a kid! I’m excited for you.

Argh! That’s amazing! Congrats! ^_^
Thanks!!
Good luck finishing up your program Psychsquirrel! I’m a little superstitious, but I’m in the camp that if something is going to happen related to the Mayan prophecies, it’ll be along the lines of a big revelation. What that may be, I have no clue. I’m hoping it’ll be something like a scientific breakthrough, or the discovery of Dinotopia; -)
