Finished “Explosive Eighteen” by Janet Evanovich tonight. This book was the first one all summer that made me feel like I was reading an actual “summer read”. It was not remotely thought provoking. I was not particularly attached to any of the characters. It was just an entertaining book. Although the abuse that the English language suffered during dialog may take another hour or so to shake off.
I only gave it 3 stars on GoodReads but I’m giving it an B+ here because it has everything that a summer beachy read should, including a love triangle.

Still working my way through “The Last Dragonslayer”.

So I’m about 40% of the way through “Explosive Eighteen”. I have only read “One for the Money” before this, but I figured I wouldn’t really have any difficulty picking up the series and I was right.

I can’t tell how much time has actually passed in the series, but it’s still an incredibly enjoyable beach read. Stephanie Plum is definitely not my ideal hero (for a few reasons), but her antics are pretty funny. Also, now that I’ve spent some time as an adult in New Jersey, I get a few more of the jokes.

Forgot to grab “The Last Dragonslayer” so I started reading “Explosive Eighteen” by Janet Evanovich on the train this morning. Normally I don’t like reading multiple books at the same time, but I think I’ll be fine with these two.

Had a lovely weekend, and the Boo and I finally spent some time organizing the study a bit more. I really like what we did with it, and now I feel like I can spend some quality time Nano-ing away in there next month.

I’m hoping today is going to feel like a quick day at work, but I have a feeling today is going to drag a bit.
