The Book Munkie

I read sooooooo many titles from this series when I was a kid. My parents loved getting them for me. It felt like they were always on sale somewhere. Once I read the Illustrated version, I would usually ask to get a “grownup” edition of the book from the library so I could read the unabridged version of each of these stories. Except for the war stories. I hated “Red Badge of Courage” so much as a child. 

This was how I completely fell in love with “Great Expectations” as a youngster.
