Checked my email this morning and was extremely confused about why I had an email from Amazon thanking me for my purchase. I completely forgot that I preordered “The Dark Monk: A Hangman’s Daughter Tale” by Oliver Potzsch a few months ago. I enjoyed the first novel, so I thought I’d give the second one a try plus the publisher offered a rebate via Amazon for people who bought the first book and preordered the second one. I’ve never preordered an ebook before. It’s kind of nice to know that it’s already waiting in the ether for me.
Almost done with “Salvage the Bones”. I got to a major dog fighting scene last night on the train and I kept making faces. I could see the guy sitting across from me was trying to figure out what I was doing/reading, but I couldn’t help my reactions. The writing is very descriptive and I was visualizing these poor dogs. I’m not a dog person, they scare me (even small ones) but the idea of dog tearing each other to shreds makes me very sad. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish reading before the meeting tonight. I don’t want the ending spoiled for me.

  1. neolution said: That’s an HMH Book! I probably could have gotten it for you for free. :P Oh, PS, I have an ARC of Jasper Fforde’s YA novel if you want it!

Personal info wise I'm pretty awesome, occasionally funny, and frequently getting lost.

I live in NYC and work for a large academic book publisher.
