This was just such a well written letter from an indie bookstore to their community about the closing of Borders. I just wanted to share because it touched upon so many excellent points about big box book stores, Amazon, indies and the publishing community in general.
But I apparently cannot change my last name. Our license was rejected and now it will take even longer to go through this ridiculous bureaucratic process of getting my name changed. Not a happy camper, thank goodness the Boo took me out for a romantic one month of marriage dinner at Chirping Chicken before I got this news.
Edit: Since I can’t figure out how to reply to you guys I’m doing it here. We need to provide additional information and it will be refiled but it’s frustrating because I could have provided the info during one of my three phone calls to see what the hold up was.
